In the Dubro region, corn is harvested

 

Dubrovenshchyna is a vast expanse of fields that stretch beyond the horizon, from whatever point you look. From early spring to the white flies, real devotees of agriculture work in the fields. They do not complain about a busy work schedule or a vacation that never falls in the summer — they know that one fine day feeds the year. It would seem that the harvest is over, you can take a break, but the farmers of the district have begun another difficult and responsible period — harvesting corn for silage.

Last week, the harvesting of the queen of the fields began at JSC Bobrovo-Agro, where 309 hectares are allocated for this crop. The weather is favorable, and rural workers strive to have time to remove the corn mass, put it in silage trenches to provide animals with high-quality feed for the whole winter.

Work is in full swing in the field near the agro-town of Bobrovo. Sergey Steps on KVK-800 row by row removes smooth and tall corn stalks. The green mass flows like a river into the MAZ, driven by Dmitry Kalinin. Very little time passes, and the car body is full. In total, six units of equipment provide a continuous transportation conveyor on the farm.

According to Igor Tymoshchenko, director of Bobrovo-Agro, the corn yield this year is good, there are more ears on the stems than last year.

— This year we started harvesting corn early, I don't remember that we started harvesting in August. Due to the warm weather, it has ripened, and in some places it has already dried up. Perhaps it would have been necessary to start earlier, but the equipment and people were busy harvesting grass feeds. The clover came up, it was a pity to leave them, — says Igor Vladimirovich. — If you compare corn with last year, now it is less juicy. The mass turns out to be very light, but this will not affect the quality of the feed.

To get a really nutritious feed, it is not enough to remove corn on time, you also need to meet the deadlines and technology for laying trenches, and Bobrovo-Agro JSC knows this firsthand.

— A corn cracker is installed in the forage harvester - a system of flattening working bodies that allows you to grind the mown mass, crush the grain and grind the coarse stems, so a homogeneous mass is obtained at the output, — says the head of the agricultural enterprise.
— Every day, corn mass from a total of 15-20 hectares is sent directly from the field to the silo trenches, where ramming is continuously carried out. The best preservative in the preparation of feed is high—quality tamping of the green mass and squeezing oxygen out of it," Igor Tymoshchenko stressed.

Now the second silo trench is being laid at JSC Bobrovo-Agro. Farmers plan to harvest at least 9,000 tons of corn mass. Already now we can say that the feed has been harvested with a reserve. Last year, 2,412 tons of fodder units were harvested at this time, and this year — 3,832 tons, which is 19.48 quintals of fodder units per conditional head of cattle.

In other farms of the district, field work is also in an active phase. Corn was harvested on 23.7% of the area (5435 hectares in total). The leading positions in harvested corn are occupied by the Chernyakhovsky Agricultural Enterprise — 7,321 tons of green mass were harvested, in JSC Vostok-Chirino and JSC Yakubovo-Agro — 5,565 and 6,670 tons. The highest yield — 381.11 kg/ha — is in JSC Hero.

It is planned to harvest 119900 tons of silage in the area, on the morning of September 16, farmers coped with this task by 30%.
