Sergey Rumas: Polotsk region is an industrial region with the potential for further growth

Polotsk region is an industrial region with the potential for further growth. This opinion was expressed by Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas during a meeting in Polotsk Region Executive Committee.

Polotsk is one of 11 cities with a population of over 80 people. There is a separate

instruction of the head of state, which was announced in April, that the state should give priority

to such cities and give an additional impetus to their development. "There is already an action

plan for the development of medium-sized cities, in the near future a meeting will be held with

the President on the development of these administrative-territorial units. Three of them are

located in Vitebsk Oblast - Orsha, Polotsk and Novopolotsk," the head of government said.
