Investments

A total of Br23.8 billion was invested in economy and social sphere of the Dubrovno region over the eight months 2007, or 49.3% up from the same period last year.

Br17.5 was injected into industrial facilities, Br6.3 billion - into non-production sphere, what accounts for 73.5% and 26.5% respectively of the total investments.

Br10.3 billion was spent to perform construction and assembly jobs. Forty-two houses of the total area of 4002 sq. m. were delivered. As of September 1, 2007, the annual target for housing construction was met at 47.7%. The main sources of financing of housing construction are bank loans.

Around Br10 billion, or 42% of the total investments, was used to buy machines, equipment and transport vehicles.

Dubrovno Flax Mill received financial support from the national budget (the fund for the support of agricultural producers) to install a new Belgian line to manufacture long-staple fibers. Thus, the company will be able to increase the output 1.7 times and reduce energy costs by 30%.
