Belarus to set up press center near transport and logistics center

A press center will be deployed near the transport and logistics center that houses the temporary accommodation point for refugees, Belarusian First Deputy Information Minister Andrei Kuntsevich told media, BelTA has learned.

The media pay increased attention to the situation with refugees at the border. Journalists work 24/7 at the transport and logistics center that is accommodating about 1,800 refugees.

“The Information Ministry together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Border Committee, and the Grodno regional administration will continue to support and facilitate the work of journalists to ensure full and comprehensive coverage of the situation on the Belarusian-Polish border. To this end, we are planning to deploy a press center for the media and specialists to assist journalists," Andrei Kuntsevich said. The army's equipment will also be involved to ensure the operation of the press center.

In addition to the Belarusian media, more than 60 representatives of foreign media from 9 countries have been accredited to cover the developments at the border.
