What is the demand for working specialties at Vitebsk State Industrial College?

The distribution of 194 students will take place in April. Trading and processing enterprises, such as Myasomolprom, Nika, Santa, Vitmil, Vitebskkhlebprom, Resttrade, are experiencing a real shortage of personnel. The professions of baker, waiter, cook, confectioner, cashier, and salesperson are in short supply. It is not surprising that today representatives of these enterprises are interested in graduates, although they are considered basic and have the primary right to staff the team with the missing workers. For example, OJSC “Vitmil” requires 35 cooks, but there are only 50 graduates with this profession. The cooks, confectioners, and salespeople trained by the Vitebsk college are among the ten most in demand in the republic.

“In such a situation, we are building a mutually beneficial trajectory for personnel training, taking into account the interests of the educational institution and employers,” emphasized Marina Ulasevich, deputy director for educational and production work at VGIK. – Taking into account the demands of time, checklists for admitting students to study for 2027 are already being formed today. The question is not even that it is necessary to train in-demand specialists even more, but about the retention of personnel. Here, employers themselves must think about how and how to interest graduates so that they remain in the team.
