Vice premier: Belarus' petrochemical sector should maintain momentum in H2

Belarus' Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik reviewed the performance of enterprises of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim in January-June at a meeting of the concern's Board in Svetlogorsk, BelTA learned from the concern's press service.

Chairman of the Belneftekhim Concern Andrei Rybakov noted in his report that most enterprises of the industry fulfilled output targets. Growth was reported across key product groups.

The deputy prime minister assessed the sector's performance in H1 2024 as good. As Piotr Parkhomchik remarked, the main task for the second half of the year is to maintain momentum. This applies to both output and exports targets, including export to distant countries.

The deputy prime minister remarked that it is imperative that executives fulfill the targets set by the government for the industry as a whole and each enterprise in particular.

The tasks for the second half of the year were clarified. They had to do with an export policy, efforts to build presence in new markets, and plans to improve the operational efficiency of organizations. Other issues related to the activities of the concern's organizations were also on the agenda.

The meeting of the Board of the Belneftekhim Concern was held at SvetlogorskKhimvolokno. The deputy prime minister and members of the board familiarized themselves with the exposition of innovative products of the petrochemical complex. The exposition was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the institution of the presidency in Belarus.
