A potential project for building grain hubs and forage hubs in Egypt using Belarusian technologies has a lot of significance. Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko made the statement during an expanded-participation meeting with Prime Minister of Egypt Mostafa Madbouly, BelTA has learned.
Roman Golovchenko told the Egyptian prime minister: “You’ve mentioned a very important potential project, which involves the creation of grain hubs and forage hubs in Egypt’s territory using Belarusian technologies and know-hows. I believe that this direction should become a key one for the relevant bodies in the near future.”
Belarus’ prime minister assured his Egyptian counterpart that the Belarusian side understands the importance of the matter and the importance of ensuring food security. “I think the large capacity of the market both in Egypt and in neighboring African countries as well as our experience and capabilities in designing, building, and operating hubs of this kind create a very comfortable and promising opportunity for realizing such a project,” Roman Golovchenko believes.
“The relevant instructions will be given. I ask you to also determine the agency, with which we are going to work on such an important project,” the prime minister of Belarus concluded.
