relations to a new level. First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Nikolai
Snopkov made the statement as he met with Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs,
member of the State Council Wang Yi in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the press service
of the Belarusian government told BelTA.
Minsk strongly
supports Beijing in matters concerning its main interests and is always on the
side of Beijing, Nikolai Snopkov said. Minsk is also ready to jointly
counteract the actions taken in the spirit of “pseudo-multilateralism” to split
the world. Minsk is ready to actively promote the formation of a community of
common destiny for mankind, Nikolai Snopkov stressed.
In turn, Wang Yi
stated that China and Belarus are reliable friends. He stressed it is necessary
to implement agreements of the two heads of state, follow the spirit of mutual
trust, cooperation, and mutual gains, persistently deepen traditional
friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation in order to foster future
confident development of Chinese-Belarusian relations.
Wang Yi also noted
that Beijing and Minsk have good traditions of mutual support and mutual aid.
The diplomat thanked Belarus for always siding with China on matters concerning
China's main interests and for supporting China's views. If Belarus encounters
difficulties, as a comprehensive strategic partner China will also do its best
to provide aid and support to Belarus the way friends should, Wang Yi said.
According to the
minister of foreign affairs, China strongly supports Belarus in matters
concerning the protection of national sovereignty and dignity. China opposes
unjustified unilateral sanctions and interference in Belarus' internal affairs.
China is also ready to protect legal rights and interests of Belarus in
multilateral relations. Beijing is ready to work with Minsk on the further
development of interstate relations and the advancement of bilateral mutually
beneficial cooperation. China will continue supplying vaccines to Belarus in
order to help the country beat the pandemic fully as soon as possible, Wang Yi
