Concert program called «Vitebsk batleika» will present our region at the festival «Belarus on May – song».

The performance of the best creative collectives of the region will take place in Minsk in the Palace of the Republic on February 2. Vitebsk was honored to be the first to show his achievements in artistic creativity.

More than a thousand artists from different regions of the region will take part in the concert. Director – honored worker of culture of Belarus, deputy general director for special projects of the Center of Culture «Vitebsk» Marina Romanovskaya – built a program in the form of a spectacular theatrical show with exciting special effects. Several led screens will be installed on the stage, including with a kinetic rail system. But the main – artistic content of the concert, in which the theme of cultural heritage of Belarus and Vitebsk region will be a red thread.

In the foyer of the Palace of the Republic will open the exhibition «Vitebsk: history, traditions, heritage». The exhibition will present elements of intangible cultural heritage of the region, in particular, straw-weaving, vytinanka, insitic art, spiral weaving and other folk traditional crafts that exist on our territory.

According to the results of the gala concerts of all regions of the country, the jury will select groups of artistic creativity and performers to participate in the final gala concert. It will take place within the framework of festive events dedicated to the Independence Day of Belarus.
