The reconstruction of the building of the former House of Officers in Polotsk is planned to be completed by mid-June. Director of the general contracting organization Alexander Balobaev told reporters about this,transmitsBelTA.

According to him, the entire range of work is being carried out at the site, this is a full-fledged restoration. The building is an architectural monument, therefore, during reconstruction, much is coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, both in terms of materials and work. “During the process, it was determined that decorative items - stucco moldings, cornices - are in critical condition and in some places are simply falling under their weight. The decision was made to knock everything down,” said Alexander Balobaev. According to him, all the plaster inside was knocked down, all the decor was removed, which is being manufactured and installed in a new way. The director of the general contracting organization clarified that painting of the facades, final finishing and landscaping are currently underway. “In a week and a half to two weeks, all external work will be completed, including landscaping and painting the facades,” he emphasized.
