On May 19, 2023, after a serious long-term illness, our colleague, the former head of the Polotsk city department of internal affairs, retired police colonel Genrikh Ivanovich Aniskovich, passed away untimely.

A year is a short period of time to calm down and understand that our workmate is no longer around. The poignancy and feeling of losing a wonderful person does not leave us today.

Genrikh Ivanovich’s entire working life was connected with the protection of law and order, with the establishment of the rule of law. He went through a difficult and worthy professional path in the system of internal affairs bodies, starting it as a policeman-driver with the rank of police sergeant and successfully completing it as the head of the Polotsk City Department of Internal Affairs - one of the largest units of the law enforcement system in the region. High legal erudition allowed Genrikh Ivanovich, after his retirement, to successfully head the legal department of the Polotsk regional executive committee for 13 years. This is a clear example for modern youth in police uniforms: honest and hard work always brings high professional results,

We consider it necessary to especially highlight such exceptionally positive qualities of Genrikh Ivanovich as dedication to the assigned task of fighting crime, the ability to carefully determine the degree of severity in relationships with subordinates while at the same time showing intolerance towards violators of official discipline and legality in professional activities, while remaining sincere and attentive to subordinates .

His love of life, intelligence, prudence, modesty, decency, composure and organization, responsiveness, human kindness, openness in communication, ability to listen and hear others, willingness to support and lend a helping hand rightly allow us to call him a Man with a capital P..

These qualities earned Genrikh Ivanovich well-deserved respect both from colleagues and heads of executive and administrative authorities of the city of Polotsk and the Polotsk region.

Genrikh Ivanovich lived the life of a caring and beloved husband and loyal friend in the family, a father who raised two children who continued his professional path, forming one of the first police family dynasty on Polotsk soil.

Let the years pass, but the memory of people like Genrikh Ivanovich Aniskovich is alive. We remember him not for the past, but for the future...
