The industry trade union allocated more than Br280 thousand for tourist trips for doctors of the Vitebsk region in six months

The butter and cheese factory in Verkhnedvinsk, the cannery in Glubokoye and BELAZ became the enterprises most visited by tourists - members of the trade union of health workers of the Vitebsk region in the first half of 2024. This was reported to BelTA by the regional committee of the industry trade union.

About 40% of the total number of trips for the first half of the year, and a total of 91 of them were organized, fell on May and June. Doctors of the region dedicated their travels to important dates - the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the 79th anniversary of the Great Victory. In particular, tourists went to the hero city of Brest, to the places of historical and cultural heritage of the Vitebsk and Mogilev regions.

Other routes were timed to coincide with the 120th anniversary of the trade union movement in the country and the Year of Quality. For the first time, members of the industry trade union visited Russian Pskov and Veliky Novgorod with organized excursions.

Among the industrial enterprises to which the doctors of the northern region have already shown the greatest interest in the Year of Quality, there were a butter and cheese factory in Verkhnedvinsk, a cannery in Glubokoye. The world's largest manufacturer of heavy-duty dump trucks OJSC "BELAZ" in the Minsk region remains the undisputed leader in terms of attendance.

"In total, 91 tourist and excursion events were held in January-June, 69 of which were organized in cooperation with the Unitary Enterprise Belarustourist. In general, more than 2.9 thousand people took part in such excursions. In fact, during this period, the industry trade union allocated more than Br280.5 thousand for tourist and excursion activities, more than Br255.5 thousand of the total amount was allocated for the services of the Belarustourist UE," the regional committee explained.

In addition to the cognitive function, acquaintance and study of the historical and cultural values of the native country, such excursions help to increase the efficiency of trade union organizations in this area and strengthen the morale of collectives, said Vladimir Plytkevich, chairman of the regional organization of the industry trade union.

In the second half of 2024, health workers of the Vitebsk region will dedicate many trips to the 30th anniversary of the presidency. Any routes are drawn up taking into account the wishes of the tourists themselves.
