Today is World Post Day and the 150th anniversary of the World Industry Union, which includes dozens of countries, including the Republic of Belarus.

… Polotsk residents, residents of Novopolotsk, Polotsk, Ushachi, Lepel, Verkhnedvinsk, Rossony districts are provided with postal services by the Polotsk regional postal service center of the Vitebsk branch of the RUE "Belpochta". Motorized mail delivery is carried out in small remote settlements. Today we will get acquainted with one of the best workers of the Polotsk RUPS, the winner of the regional competition of professional skills - postman Anna Porokhonko, who works on one of the "postal routes" of the Polotsk region.

About 150 km a day, and on other days about 200 km Anna travels in a postal car in tandem with a driver, in a hurry to deliver mail and pensions to the addressees. Its working arsenal includes an indispensable assistant, the Mobile Postman terminal, thanks to which villagers do not need to get to a stationary post office. Someone needs to send a postal item, subscribe, someone needs to pay for utilities or send a money order, buy consumer goods and postal products. You can pay not only in cash, but also with a bank card. Promptly, easily and efficiently. Postman Pechkin could not even dream of such opportunities!

Anna Porokhonko has been working on her route for five years.

"The places are very beautiful! A lake district," Anna shares. "In addition to mail, we always have a large assortment of goods with us."

… Anna Porokhonko has been working in the postal industry since 2017, since she received her college education as a postal operator. Her small homeland is the Ushachi district, where she worked as the head of the post office. And when she moved to the Polotsk region, she got a job at the Polotsk RUPS.

Responsible and sociable, Anna loves her job, first of all, for the opportunity to please people - with news, services, goods and, of course, communication:
