With the blessing of Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, the XVI Military-Patriotic, Sports Rally of Orthodox Youth named after the Right-Believing Prince Konstantin Ostrozhsky was held in Dzerzhinsk on the basis of the Group of Material and Technical Support of the Border Guard Service.
The revival of the Orthodox traditions of the Christ-loving army, the formation of true spiritual and moral values and patriotism in the minds of young people are important tasks of cooperation between the Belarusian Orthodox Church and the border service of the Republic of Belarus. The rally is aimed at their implementation.
The event was attended by more than 150 people (13 teams) from different dioceses of the Belarusian Orthodox Church. The honor of the Polotsk land was defended by students of the Polotsk Cadet School with a spiritual father - a cleric of the parish of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Novopolotsk and Priest Tikhon Antukh. During the week, young people competed in shooting from pneumatic guns, paramilitary relay race, pull-ups on the crossbar, tracking, historical and spiritual quizzes. The guys also competed for the title of the best in the tuning and song competition.
All participants of the rally showed character and will to win, cohesion and creativity. According to the results of military-applied team and individual competitions, all showed high results. The Cup of the Winner of the XVI Military-Patriotic, Sports Rally of Orthodox Youth named after the Right-Believing Prince Konstantin of Ostrog was received by the team of the Polotsk Diocese "Polotsk", which was represented by students of the Polotsk Cadet School.
The cadets also took first place in the team championship in air rifle shooting, in the nomination "Presentation of teams", paramilitary relay race and formation. Roman Mankovsky, Alexander Boranovsky, Yegor Dmitriev, Timur Narushevich, Andrei Rusak were separately noted.
