Last Saturday was bright and eventful for members of the Polotsk district organization of the RPA "Patriots of Belarus" and their wards from the military-patriotic club "Rubezh". They became participants in the civil and patriotic actions of the NGO "Patriots of Belarus" "History in Facts" and "Territory of Oxygen".

The day began with a visit to the grave of the Hero of the Soviet Union Tatyana Marinenko, a messenger and scout of the partisan brigade "Elusive", who is buried in the cemetery near the village of Kopovyshche, Zelenkovsky village council. Tatyana Akimova, chairman of the district organization of the NGO "Patriots of Belarus", told the children about their heroic compatriot, her activities during the Great Patriotic War, as well as about the Heroes of the Soviet Union, whose alley was created in Polotsk near the Museum of Military Glory. Flowers were laid on the grave of Tatyana Marinenko. A minute of silence. And again on the road.

And the multifaceted event ended in the Museum of Local Lore of Polotsk. Its participants visited the exhibition "Belarus of the XXI century. Our Historical Choice", heard a story about the exposition of the museum's researcher Olga Khrutskaya. Then a meeting was held with Pavel Yastremsky, director of the Polotsk Secondary School No. 1, a member of the Supreme Political Council of the Belarusian party "Belaya Rus". He dwelled on the historical events and trials that the Polotsk region has experienced. However, the topics were very different, including the guys told about their dreams, aspirations, and the present day. "I liked both the museum and the exhibition," said Yegor Svyatsky, one of the members of the Rubezh military-patriotic club. "It was a pleasant surprise that I saw my parents at the exposition stands. The conversation with Pavel Gennadyevich Yastremsky was confidential, friendly and with a lot of new information. It was a very interesting and informative day. It will be remembered for a long time."

Patriots and schoolchildren arrived at the "Oxygen Territory". They joined the workers of the Zelenkovsky forestry, who were engaged in planting trees as part of the nationwide campaign "Give the forest a new life". After a detailed briefing, the guys actively joined the work.
