JSC Prudinki increased the procurement of herbaceous fodder by 65% compared to last year

JSC "Prudinki" increases by 65% compared to last year in harvesting grass fodder. There are already 665 tons of hay, 17.5 thousand tons of haylage in the storage, haylage and silage trenches, the first trenches of corn silage with a total volume of more than 5 thousand tons have been closed.

The agricultural enterprise continues harvesting corn, which occupies 528 hectares. The farmers are happy with the crop. According to the machine operators, even the tallest ones have a hard time reaching the top. They take 300 centners of green mass per hectare, which is immediately delivered to the Prudinky and Volyntsy dairy complexes, where the trenches are located.

– The transportation shoulder is small, – explains the chief economist of JSC Prudinka Alexandra Ananchenko. – When drawing up the crop rotation map, the chief agronomist Viktor Kuriksha took into account not only the fertility of the soil, but also the economic factor: the closer the trenches are to the farms, the lower the costs of harvesting and later on delivering the feed. And to ensure that they are of high quality, we use material incentives. We take into account both compliance with the entire preservation technology and the timing of closing the trench. We have large ones – 2.5 – 3 thousand tons, 5 – 7 days are allocated for filling. Everyone who managed to do this is awarded a bonus. In August, four temporary teams out of five were rewarded in this way for harvesting haylage. This system also operates for laying silage.

One of the most experienced machine operators, Viktor Pushkarev, was the best in the region this summer at chopping green grass for laying haylage. Now he drives his forage harvester through the corn fields from morning till night. Two tractors with PIMs are busy transporting the chopped mass. Mikhail Smirnov and Aleksandr Rimsha scurry between the field and the Prudinki MTC on their equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of the KVK. The first hundred hectares have already been harvested.

– Fodder preparation is in full swing at the farm. While the weather is good, we continue to dry hay. We do not stop laying haylage, for which we are taking the third cut of clover, – specifies Alexandra Ananchenko. – If last year we had 17 centners of fodder per conditional head of the public herd, then this year it is already 26.7. It could be more, but the equipment and people are busy with the sowing campaign of winter crops. Rapeseed is already in the soil on 327 hectares. Now we are sowing winter grains, where compliance with agrotechnical terms and sowing dates is also very important. Therefore, we try to approach the organization of all work rationally.
