An inclusive children's playground was opened in Polotsk

Today, the Polotsk Park of Culture and Leisure was crowded, children's laughter could be heard from all sides. After all, a real holiday took place there - the grand opening of the children's inclusive playground, which is aimed at eliminating the problem of social isolation that prevents children from communicating with peers and making friends. This was made possible thanks to the support of partners and the assistance of UNICEF.

The event was attended by honored guests Dmitry Shilin, Senior Coordinator for Child Protection of the United Nations Children's Fund UNICEF in Belarus, Svetlana Valyushkina, Deputy Chairman of the Polotsk District Executive Committee.

Boys and girls, as well as their parents, got acquainted with an accessible safe environment for children with special needs, with a variety of play equipment for children of all levels of abilities. As part of the event, there were numerous interactive platforms and master classes for children. In turn, parents were able to consult with specialists from the Polotsk Central City Hospital, the Polotsk District Center for Rehabilitation and Development, the Center for Social and Social Services, the Social and Pedagogical Center of the Polotsk District and others at dialogue platforms.
