A city clean-up day was held in Vitebsk

Chairman of the regional executive committee Alexander Subbotin took part in the city clean-up day, which was held in Vitebsk.

The main goal of the event is to improve and restore order on the territory of the regional center, where next week the XI Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia, the celebration of the 1050th anniversary of the city, and then the International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will be held.

The head of the region worked at one of the facilities that will be involved in these significant events for the Vitebsk region - the Vitebsk Hotel. Now the final touches are being put here before the meeting of numerous guests.

- A large-scale transformation of the regional center is associated with the forum of regions, an international festival, with the anniversary of Vitebsk. For residents, the main holiday is the Day of the City, its 1050th anniversary and the 80th anniversary of liberation. As a Vitebsk resident, I also decided to take part in the preparation of my hometown for the holiday," said Alexander Subbotin.

The head of the region, together with the chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee Gennady Sabynich and the heads of administrations, planted ornamental maples and mountain pines, which decorated the area near the hotel. It has noticeably changed after a large-scale reconstruction. Having retained its recognizable architectural appearance, it has completely changed the "filling" and now begins to meet modern standards and requirements.

As a result of the reconstruction, the parking lot was expanded, including for tourist transport, the original canopy of the building was arranged in the unloading area, and the reception and registration area for guests was updated.

The rooms have become more comfortable, studios have appeared, where a small kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom are provided.

On the third floor there is a sports complex with exercise equipment, a billiard room and a recreation room. The conference hall and café have changed. Alexander Subbotin examined the hotel and expressed confidence that the guests of Vitebsk would like it.

By the way, the reconstruction is planned to continue after the forum and the festival. The second stage involves equipping a spa on the ground floor. There are other interesting ideas.
