Moreover, 11 of those killed this year were intoxicated. At the same time, 25 people out of the total number of deaths drowned as a result of violations of safety measures in water bodies. 9 people became victims of the water while swimming.6 of whom were intoxicated. 7 people drowned while fishing, 3 of them while intoxicated.

– The prosecutor’s office checked the implementation by local executive and administrative bodies of legislation aimed at ensuring safe conditions for citizens to relax on the water,– said the regional prosecutor Igor Ukrainets. “During it, the condition of the beaches and water areas was assessed, and whether there were enough places for swimming.
The head of the supervisory agency named the identified violations in water recreation areas. This is an unmown area, a water area overgrown with aquatic vegetation, no swimming pools for children,absence or poor condition of architectural forms (shade canopies, benches, etc.).

Based on the results of the inspections, prosecutors submitted 12 submissions to city and district executive committees to eliminate the identified violations, as well as 3 orders. The prosecutor's office submitted a proposal to the regional executive committee indicating the lack of organized bathing places in the region.Meanwhile, the Pridvinsky region accounts for 31% of the total water flow of the republic - the highest figure among the regions of the country.The condition of the beaches continues to be under the control of the prosecutors of the Pridvinsky region.
