Industry

The industry of the region comprises five companies.

The major company is the open joint stock company Dubrovno Flax Mill with the capacity of 2.160 tonnes of flax fibers a year.

Production capacity is 2,160 tonnes of flax fibers per year.

The company produces short flax fiber:
- double-strand twine - 1.25 and 1.67 ktex
- triple twine – 2.5 ktex

The production capacity is 200 tonnes of twine per year.

The company manufactures stitched fabric (flax padding). Production capacity is 200,000 running meters per year. It is used in the furniture industry.

In 2007, the company installed a line by Belgium’s Van Dommel to produce long fibers.
