On the eve of the October Revolution Day, a meeting of members of the Youth Parliament at the Dubrovensky District Council of Deputies, the Council of Working Youth and the Youth Chamber of the Dubrovensky district with Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Babichev took place in Dubrovno.
— One of the main tasks of all youth associations is to assist the authorities in creating conditions for the effective realization of the potential of youth and their active participation in socio-economic and socio-political processes, — said the deputy. — You can just do your job for a salary, or you can engage in social activities and get what money can't buy: trust, image and authority. The Youth Parliament, the Council and the Chamber help to develop these qualities and create the foundation for further career growth. Young people should grow up active and think about the future. It is important not to miss opportunities, not to stay on the sidelines, to work productively and efficiently in order to become a young leader or leader in the future – which would be much more difficult to achieve without social activities.
Vladimir Babichev called on the young people of the Dubro region to be active, far-sighted, and constructively thinking.
— Your task is to form the state agenda together with local authorities and public associations. Study the situation in a particular area in the workplace, analyze problematic issues and, if necessary, make suggestions for improving work in your industry and the work of public organizations," he said.
It is no secret that the largest youth association in the country is the BRSM. At all times — the past, present and future of Belarus — the government has sought to attract young people, the most initiative, talented boys and girls to the management. And today we want to reach out to young people through the Youth Parliament, because you have some experience, you communicate with deputies of local councils and already understand how the state works and where you can realize yourself.
The meeting discussed not only issues related to youth policy in Belarus, the topic of historical truth was raised, so that the knowledge gained at school, college or university could be correctly interpreted.
– Young people have always been interested in the future of their country, and currently actively participates in events, promotions, initiates their own projects, shows high results in their careers, sports, and creativity, – the speaker continued. – I am sure that young people will always be at the forefront of the development of society.
At the same time, as it was noted more than once during the meeting, the initiative that comes directly from you is very important. Authorities at all levels are always ready to support your ideas and projects, and therefore it is necessary to be more active, to think more often about how everyone can be useful to their city and the country as a whole. At the same time, it is important that as many young people as possible are involved in this process. And in this, an important role is played by informing young people about certain events in which they can take part.
Vladimir Babichev told the boys and girls about the interaction of regional youth parliaments with the House of Representatives, ways to implement projects and initiatives, and answered their questions.
— It is necessary to use new, modern formats, but necessarily based on our national traditions, — the parliamentarian summed up, wishing those present to make a feasible contribution to the development of the district and the country as a whole.
According to Ekaterina Goleshova, a student of the 11th grade, young people today have a great responsibility, so it is very important to justify the trust that the authorities place in them. At the same time, young citizens of the country should feel their involvement in preserving the unity of the Belarusian people and its consolidation:
– Today's meeting with the deputy was very interesting and useful. We discussed important issues for the state and every citizen. Vladimir Gennadievich is a very competent speaker, he was able to convey to us the main directions of the activities of the House of Representatives, outlined the tasks that the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the executive power in the country and in each district solves. He answered the questions that we were interested in regarding the conduct of the election campaign. It was especially important for me to find out the deputy's opinion and explanations regarding the political life of the country, because I plan to link my future profession with law and political science," the schoolgirl shared her impression of the meeting.
