The Dubrovnik House of Crafts celebrated its anniversary
There are many more colors used by the masters of local handicrafts, but this, as we know from folklore, is a magical number that helps to do good, effective and necessary things in life. This is exactly what the creative people of the Dubrovnik district do, who make up the collective House of Handicrafts, studying, preserving and spreading the secrets of folk crafts.
We were once again convinced of this by visiting the opening of the exhibition "House where crafts live", dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Dubrovnik District House of Crafts.
The exhibition hall of the regional historical and local museum has been transformed into a wonderful trunk, where everyone who wants to get acquainted with real treasures - things of folk life, which are made in our time according to old traditions. People of different generations came to the opening of the exhibition and it was interesting to watch when the elders remembered the letters of their grandmothers and noted that such mugs and blankets were common in their childhood.
The organizers of the exhibition reminded those present that the revival of folk crafts began in our district in 1998, when the methodologist Zoya Simutsina founded the club "Dubrava". Дома рамёстваў was created with its members in 2004. Everything started with three directions of folk art: straw weaving, weaving, patchwork. In 2005, ceramics, lozaplattenne, razba pa dreve appeared.
Today, there are 7 types of artistic crafts (embroidery, weaving, ceramics, patchwork, knitting, straw plaiting, lozaplaittenne) — here are seven colors of inspiration.
The masters who stayed at the beginning of the existence of the House of Crafts were able to transfer their commitment to young people.
Zoya Simutsina developed her own patterns of straw spiders, made an original collection of straw and linen dolls. He restored the Russian Easter "spider", which was included in the State list of historical and cultural treasures of the Republic of Belarus. Now Aksana Raukovich, who possesses not only many techniques of straw weaving, but also the technique of painting fabrics, creates dolls.
Svyatlana Dzemyankova continued making dolls: her Dubravushka became the symbol of our district. Maistar has the technique of patchwork sewing, and she restored several Belarusian traditional quilts using this technique.
Lyudmila Charvinskaya is one of the first masters who was involved in the restoration of the Marchian toy-whistle. Thanks to the active worker of the national master of Belarus, Olga Alyakseeva, the Dubrovnik toy-whistle was included in the State list of historical and cultural jewels of the Republic of Belarus. Now Volga Syargeevna is the head of the studio of folk arts and crafts "Dubrava", which unites 21 masters. They restore the production of traditional Dubrovnik ceramics, study old ways of processing clay.
Tatsiana Drobat stood at the exits of the recovery of traditional Dubrovnik clothes - I am building. The master of weaving Alena Kapytovskaya and embroiderer Nadzeya Kuskova take care of her work.
The exhibition features interesting products by Galina Davydzenka, who creates decorative toys, and beautiful Ina Lavreniuk. Organically joined the team of young specialist Lizaveta Ardzyuk, master of healing.
As it should be on a birthday, at the opening of the exhibition, there were good words of congratulations and thanks for the great work done by the masters of Doma crafts from colleagues and former employees. Thus, the head of the cultural sector of the district executive committee, Alena Yakavenka, handed over the honorary certificate of the collective-jubilee cultural department to the Vitebsk regional executive committee.
The greeting address of the deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Uladzimir Babichava was read by the director of the RDK Viktoriya Khramtsova.
